Game Daydream Diary
This is a collection of writeups about some game, game mechanic, or story that I want to make but probably never will. These are formatted like a pitch doc, but let me be clear that these designs aren't playtested at all. I'm a developer by trade, but prototyping is a weak point of mine. They exist only (or at least mostly) in text and images. Since this is a WIP, here's a list of some things i want to flesh out into their own pages.
- Procession of the Equinoxes: A several-generation story told as a castlevania-style platformer.
- Courtrooms & Contradictions: A party game themed after the spot-the-contradiction gameplay of the Ace Attorney games.
- digital media: A roadtrip RPG about fixing infrastructure on the fringes of a state run by corporations.
- Ghostbrushers: a 2D RPG battle system where you fight ghosts by using different tools to erase the sprites representing them
- Airboarder: a 2D sports-flight adventure sidescroller. Collect the pages of the legendary Airboarder Zine #1.
- Diorama Roguelike: a 3D roguelike with specialized level generation for different areas.
- Psychic Teens Run-and-Gun: Focus is on different characters with wildly different play patterns & vulnerabilities.
- Fairy Chess Tactics RPG: A tactics game where moving and attacking are combined into one action, and different loadouts determine your movement pattern.
